Mount Derak located in west of Shiraz and it is possible for hiking and Mountaineering, with about 2900 m level above sea and, this mountain is where you choose to have a real mountain climbing without leaving the city.
very popular in Shiraz and many takes this way to spent their weekend. one day is enough to go up to peak and come back.
there are no center at the start point to rent climbing equipment. bring your suitable shoes, canes and warm clothes (even in summer). also there is no food shop or public toilets or sun shelters in the way. only one small chalet in peak. It is good for those who want to climb the mountain and enjoy the nice weather and see the whole city from the top. You can try zipline in derak park also.
