Darab city one of the oldest cities in Iran, and is even mentioned in the famous Persian epic Shahname by Ferdowsi. Legend ascribes the foundation of the city to Darius I, hence its earlier name Daráb-gerd (Darius-town)Remains of the ancient city of Darabgerd are situated near the modern town of Darab in Fars province, Iran. You can also visit a fire temple, old houses, traditional bath, waterfalls, a dam, pomegranate gardens, fields of flower, Shapour’s Reliefs ,… near Darab town.
